About Us
Our story is unique. Our philosophy is simple. Do all things in love.
We extricated ourselves from life paths that did not fulfill us and were causing more harm and trauma than we deserved. We found the loving, adventurous souls we truly are beneath the masks we adorned to please others. We know that life is too short to be caught up in the mundane and the needless drama.
We are not rich. We work “real” jobs. However, we made a conscious decision to get debt free and live beneath our means to achieve our dreams to travel and discover. We eschew pretentiousness and hypocrisy, although we are not immune to the occasional “pinkies up” experience. We just prefer to look at life a little differently. Every trek we take, whether it is to the grocery store, or to the grand American scenes across this great land, is done with open eyes and a sense of purpose.
Our goal is to share whatever it might be that strikes our mood. We find great joy in discovery, whether it is an out of way diner, an historical sight that is a little less traveled, scenery that evokes great emotion, the small-town shop displaying local art, or even just great interactions with the people we meet along the way. We avoid interstates and highways, preferring to stick to the back roads and by-ways. We have been known to make the turn down the dusty and bumpy road to see American kitsch or the less-traveled scenic outlook. We map our destinations, but the journey is organic and spontaneous, and we have one very big belief that we repeat often: “It will come to us.” Whatever we need, if our hearts and minds are open, will come to us.
Our love for God, family, life, and each other is the foundation by which we are supported. If our journey stirs even a moment of peace and calm, or encourages you to find your own path, then we have achieved a goal. It took us a long time to get here, and we have an eternity to go. Just remember, it is never too late to go after a dream, no matter how big or small. If it matters to you, it matters...
